Danielle Reposa is a Tewksbury native with more than 30 years of experience working with dogs. Her lifelong passion for canine behavior, training, and animal welfare has shaped a career dedicated to helping dogs and the people who love them build stronger, happier relationships.

​

Danielle graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1994 before earning her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from Becker College in 1998. It was during her final semester at Becker that she discovered her passion for dog training while participating in the early stages of the NEADS Service Dog Program. As part of her coursework, she was assigned a dog to prepare for advanced service dog training.

Her assigned dog, Sandy, a Shepherd/Pit Bull mix, proved to be a particularly challenging student. The experience ignited Danielle's passion for canine behavior, training, and helping dogs that require extra patience and understanding. It also sparked her lifelong commitment to working with rescue and shelter dogs, where she discovered just how rewarding it is to help every dog reach its full potential.

Following college, Danielle worked as a Veterinary Technician at Silver Lake Veterinary Hospital (now Best Pets Veterinary Hospital) in Tewksbury for six years. During that time, she also began offering dog walking and pet sitting services. When the veterinary hospital closed, she turned her growing business into a full-time career, spending the next 18 years providing trusted pet care throughout the local community.

In 2015, Danielle began volunteering with the MSPCA, where she rediscovered her passion for training through science-based positive reinforcement methods. She served as a volunteer assistant trainer for six years, working alongside every instructor and assisting with a wide variety of training classes. When a professional trainer position became available in 2021, Danielle proudly joined the MSPCA training team, where she continues teaching Puppy Classes, Teen Classes, and Level 2 Obedience, while also becoming a Certified AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator.

From 2022 through 2025, Danielle served as the Canine Program Manager at Salem Animal Rescue League in Salem, New Hampshire. Working alongside a new Executive Director, she built the organization's canine program from the ground up.

​

Her responsibilities included evaluating owner surrenders, developing behavioral assessment protocols for incoming dogs, designing enrichment and training programs, and working individually with each dog to address behavioral challenges. Danielle focused much of her time helping local dogs with more complex behavioral needs—dogs that many larger shelters often lacked the time, space, or resources to rehabilitate.

One of Danielle's proudest accomplishments was helping more than 250 dogs find loving forever homes during her three years at Salem Animal Rescue League. She considers watching those dogs leave for their new families one of the most rewarding experiences of her career.

​

When Danielle joined Poochie Palace shortly after its opening, she immediately shared her vision of creating a comprehensive training program built around positive reinforcement, relationship building, and owner education. She also expressed her passion for expanding pet sitting services and organizing adoption events for dogs who have spent longer periods waiting in shelters, bringing together everything she loves most—training, rescue work, education, and helping dogs find lifelong families.

Today, Danielle serves as both a Canine Coach in our daycare program and the Head Trainer for Poochie Palace Training Academy.

Danielle believes that training should be enjoyable for both dogs and their people. Every class is designed to be welcoming, supportive, and fun while teaching practical skills that strengthen the bond between owner and dog.

After discovering science-based positive reinforcement training, Danielle knew she had found the approach she truly believed in. She witnessed dogs becoming more confident, owners becoming more engaged, and training transforming into something both ends of the leash genuinely looked forward to. That philosophy continues to guide every class she teaches today.

Using science-based, positive reinforcement methods, Danielle focuses on building confidence, trust, and clear communication rather than fear or punishment. She strives to create an environment where both dogs and owners feel comfortable learning together, celebrating every success along the way.

At Poochie Palace Training Academy, every class is built around science-based positive reinforcement training. We reward behaviors we want to see more of by using treats, praise, toys, affection, and real-life rewards that motivate dogs to learn while building confidence and strengthening the bond between dog and owner.

Our philosophy is simple: teach the behavior you want, reward success, and make learning enjoyable.

We never use shock collars, prong collars, choke collars, or other punishment-based training methods. Our goal is not to force obedience through discomfort or fear, but to help dogs understand what is being asked of them in a way that builds confidence and trust.

This compassionate approach doesn't just teach dogs to obey—it teaches them how to think, how to problem-solve, and how to enjoy learning. Dogs trained through positive reinforcement are often more confident, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about working with their families because training becomes a rewarding experience instead of something to fear.

Her mission is simple: to help every dog become a happy, confident companion while giving owners the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to enjoy a lifetime of success together.
